I have Firefox on my laptop and on my smartphone. Each has its own "Bookmarks", with some duplication/overlap between them.

How can I update the bookmarks on my phone to exactly match those on my laptop?

I do not want to use " Sync" because I cannot find any explanation of how it works - for instance what happens if both sets of bookmarks contain a bookmark for a particular webpage, but the data stored in their "Properties" are different? Which version takes precedence, or are both versions stored?

I suspect I shall have to delete the bookmarks on my phone, and then transfer the bookmarks from my laptop. How do I do this, simple step by simple step?

Hi

Thank you for your question.

I have checked my understanding with our developers which have confirmed what I think might help you.

Sign into your Firefox Account on your desktop, and trigger Firefox Sync. Then do the same (signing into the same account) on your mobile device. Firefoc Sync should pick up both sets of bookmarks and give you one combined set that will then update in both devices using Firefox Sync.

I hope this helps.
