The little book icon just won't appear in the title bar no matter what I do. Tap, long press, double tap, etc. What did I do to cause this and how to get out of it? Moto X, Android 4.4. Thanks.

It will depend on the page. Some pages are not able to be understood or are too large to be simplified by the "Reader mode".

It is not a perfect tool but will work on many common news sites. There also may be false positives where reader mode gets activated for a page with no true main body.

HI Rsameth, Do you have any add ons that affect the functionality of the url bar? If so, please temporarily disable them and turn on your screen rotation. Refresh the page a couple of time and rotate the device. The book should appear after a refresh.

Thanks, Guigs2. I still have more or less the same problem whether "Auto rotate screen" is enabled or not: the little book icon appears in the address bar for some pages and not for others. Example: home page of NY Times shows no icon, but go to any news article you like and the icon will appear just fine. Washington Post works the same way.

I have no addons, BTW.
