Nothing works for clearing the dropdown menu.
Having had this Firefox for some time, my dropdown menu suggestions are extensive and often for sites I no longer visit, so I wanted to clear it.
I keep finding solutions that don't actually work. Clearing the cache and history and cookies does not work. Not even with 'everything' selected or all the boxes checked. Highlighting the dropdown suggestions and hitting delete to get rid of them one at a time also does not work. They just come right back. All the solutions I find on this site. Do. Not. Work.
Yes, I can hide them using the settings, but I don't want them hidden, I want them gone so I can use the dropdown menu functionality afresh. I'm not wild about losing my bookmarks, but if I can't find a solution, I'm just going to uninstall the stupid thing entirely.

Does the bookmarks Star change color when the webpages that you want to delete are highlighted in the drop-down? If so, that indicates the highlighted URL is showing from the bookmark you have saved.
