Posted July 5, 2014...I am trying to view images on the uspto.gov [ed. fixed tld] Web site (us patent office). I can view the text of a patent but not the images ( patent drawings). I have a mobile samsung galaxy 10.1 note 2014 edition tablet.

The patent office uses PDFs without a download link. There is no Adobe Reader plugin for Android. Though I do have a work around.

  • install pdf.js
  • you will then be able to access the patent image data
  • i did find this method to be a little unstable you may want to download the pdf using the button in the extension (see attachment)

Thanks kbrosnan, your prompt answer solved my problem. I downloaded pdf.js as u suggested, patent images come up perfect. I had talked to a samsung support person earlier today, and they had said that the problem is created between android and adobe not wanting to be compatible with one another. Adobe is the link that the patent office sends u to, to view images. Thanks so much again....take care ! ! !
