Every Menubar is three times as high as they used to be: The standard file menu, the tabs, the search bar, the "quick link" bar and even the menues. The fonts and symbols are normal size. It takes a lot of real estate and is a waste of space. Websites are displayed correctly. Menus in websites are displayed correctly as well. It happend directly after the last Firefox update. I am running XP pro and do not have the problem outside of firefox.

Reset Firefox to its default state:

1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and then click help Help-29 .

From the Help menu choose Troubleshooting Information.

2. If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting information page. 3. Click the Reset Firefox… button in the upper-right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page. 4. To continue, click Reset Firefox in the confirmation window that opens.

  • . Firefox will close and be reset. When it's done, a window will list the information that was imported.

5. Click Finish and Firefox will open.

For some reason the problem is solved now. After resetting Firefox twice (including restart) the problem persisted. Closing FF once more manually and restarting it seems to have solved the problem, everything is back to normal - for now.
