Stopped receiving pop3 emails (on TB31) seems to happen after mavericks goes to sleep.

After installing TB31 on new mac-mini everything worked fine sending and receiving. Next day nothing seemed to work. after lots of researching I found that I needed to delete a couple of hidden files in the library. Well I eventually found them ( new to mac) deleted them and reinstalled TB - again everything was OK. Now this morning I find that once again, I can't receive any emails. Today I have deleted the global messages database (as this was a suggestion I read) in made no difference. I am loathe to delete all and reinstall again as this is not the problem.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Which files? Can you provide the link with the original fix/workaround?

Perhaps it's switching to "offline mode?" Check under File > Offline > Work Offline, it should be unchecked.

Judging by my trash bin - One file was org.mozilla.thunderbird.plist the other was winmail.dat

Its working again now! But how long for? There was a long list of error messages but I cleared the list inadvertently. Thanks for your advice re the offline mode I'll keep an eye on this.

If you didn't change anything and it worked again, I am thinking you were having sporadic network / email provider issues.

Thanks for updating the status here, if you have another issue please do file it under another question and feel free to reference this on.
