TB Locks Up When Deleting Emails

Brand new HP Envy Laptop running Windows 8.1, Bitdefender Internet Security 2015. TB has worked perfectly for two months. Now, all of a sudden, it locks up when I try to delete more than one message at a time. Sometimes it will delete five at a time without a problem, but the next time it will freeze and I have to go into Task Manager and kill it.

I have tried booting in Safe Mode with Networking, then running TB and the problem is the same.

I downloaded the latest version from the website, even though I have updates set to auto.

Any ideas?

Update: TB will hang for several minutes when trying to delete just a single email.

Further update: TB locks up for the longest period of time when I am deleting notification email from Facebook. WTH???
