Firefox 34.0.5 running on OSX 10.7.5 refuses to recognise some https: certificates although all certificates are accepted by Safari running on same computer.
This applies to paypal.com and several other sites. Tried deleting cert8.db - no different. Tried Resetting Firefox - no different. Tried uninstalling Firefox and Profiles and reinstalling - no different. I have recently updated Kaspersky but my ebanking site which uses a Kaspersky licence is OK on Safari but not Firefox. Help!

Hello kenrichey, probably you have to enable ssl 3 again(in firefox 34 ssl 3 is disable by default, see why in the link at the end of my reply), go to about:config, copy the next bold security.tls.version.min and paste it in the search field, now double-click on it and change the value to 0 (zero), exit about:config page, exit firefox, and then restart firefox.
if that did not help, then go back and reverse the value again.

thank you
Thank you for the information. Changing security.tls.version.min to 0 did not help so, as advised, changed back to the default 1. However, my ebanking account now works but Paypal still blocked. Read the article; does this mean that Safari my be vulnerable to Poodle? Do a lot of ebaying on iPad and do not have the advabyage of Firefox there!! Regards
