Hey- my Firefox 34.0.5 keeps asking to update to 35.0 but every time I click it to update it will say it is installing and then the installation will be complete the next time Firefox is restarted, so I click the 'restart now' button but it never updates to the 35.0 version. I have a 2014 macbook pro if that helps at all. Thanks for your help!!

I would uninstall firefox then re-install it. That should be an easy fix. If you are happy with 34, you can turn off its auto update, but I would just take the time to re-install it since 35 is safer. Turn off auto update FF 34: Go on settings>preferences>advanced clear button that says install updates automatically or check never check for updates. However, I would strongly reccomend NOT doing this, because of security issues.

Have a great day!

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop
