Why did a great many e-mails disappeared from one folder?
I was shocked today to find that all of my e-mails in a "Purchases" folder from November 2014 back were no longer in the folder. I very much needed these e-mails. Other folders appear to be unaffected and contain e-mails from as early as 2007. What could have caused the loss of these e-mails?

if it is only an index issue right click, select properties and then the repair button.
If it was your anti virus removing a virus (Nortons in particular) back in November 2014 you might still find the file in it's quarantine.
The repair button made no changes. My Avast antivirus show no e-mails quarantined. Any other possibilities?
