Why do I have to allow Adobe Flash Player to run all of a sudden almost every other minute?
I didn't update I didn't add any plug-ins I didn't do nothing but browse SAFE websites and all of a sudden Adobe Flash Player stops working every so often and Mozilla asks me if I want to allow it to work?

All versions of the Flash plugin have been disabled by Mozilla because of a disclosed security vulnerability that Adobe needs to fix.

Many web pages, even "safe" ones, have flash.
Flash block {web link} Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it

If you are not accustomed to using the "Ask to Activate" feature for a plugin, here's what to expect:
When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification icon in the address bar and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an infobar sliding down between the toolbar area and the page.
If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click the Lego-like icon in the address bar to allow Flash.
But the page might be using Flash only for tracking or playing a video ad. If you don't see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification, it will just sit there in case you want it later.

i had just posted a separate new topic about this too. didn't see this one as a suggestion beforehand. so is there going to be a new update anytime soon? i would think they would have fixed this literally as soon as it happened. wtf are we supposed to do exactly?!
Both Flash and Java are vulnerable, so be cautious with enabling these plugins on websites that you do not fully trust.
Adobe has an update out today, not sure how much it fixes:

In the first table (18.0.0.209) you will want the installer for plugin-based browsers. Either EXE or MSI format should work.
