Unable to bookmark pages, did the fix and still fails

I have firefox version 40.0.3 and I have been unable to add any bookmarks. My old ones are still there and I can delete, just not add any. I've done the repair recommended by Firefox but it didn't help. Any ideas?

Your System Detail list shows the IE Tab Plug-in for Mozilla/Firefox plugin.

If you have the IE Tab or Tree Style Tab extension then try to disable this extension as there have been issues reported with this extension and bookmarking.

If you have the IE Tab or Tree Style Tab extension then try to disable this extension as there have been issues reported with this extension and bookmarking.
