If you download this browser does it replace your current one or is it a separate one?
If I download this browser is it a stand alone to my existing one? I don't want to delete my other one. Also, once downloaded can it be deleted if I find I still prefer my own browser?

Just like any other program on your computer, installing Firefox won't remove anything else from your computer, and you can always switch back and forth between browsers with no problem.

Firefox is a separate web browser software whether on Windows, Mac OSX or Linux as it is not a shell for say IE.
