despite ,my continued refusal of the new version suddenly I have it - so how do I go back to the previous version. My problem is that my security program is not compatible with the new version and I need to have that working

Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select Update. Check the settings.
