Was e-mail service down on Sept 4, 2016? My yahoo e-mails on that date were not posted on Thunderbird..

Thunderbird is a program that runs on your computer. You have the only knowledge of when it is turned on or not.

Yahoo is the remote server you set it to connect to. Was there an issue with yahoo? We really do not know.
