when i bookmark an address, it ends up at the bottom of the bookmark list, and i have to click and hold it and move it up to where i want it in the list; is there a way to alphabetize the list by right clicking on a drop-down list?

If you want to sort a bookmark on the main level of the menu, instead of in a folder, you can display your bookmarks menu either in the --

  • Bookmarks sidebar (Ctrl+b or on the menu that drops from the toolbar button, "View Bookmarks Sidebar")
  • Library dialog (Ctrl+Shift+b or "Show All Bookmarks")

-- right-click "Bookmarks Menu" and use "Sort by Name" there.

There might be an add-on to do that automatically going forward, but bookmark-related extensions come and go and I don't know which one(s) do it in current versions of Firefox.

Hi!

You can sort your bookmarks by name. When you go to bookmarks and right click on a folder you will be able to see the option 'sort by name'. That will make it alphabetical.
