When I scroll down a webpage it is first OK then the stuff on the screen is a smear in the direction I am scrolling

hi guywebster, please try if the following can solve the problem:

  • enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up)
  • search for the preference named layers.allow-d3d9-fallback
  • double-click it and change its value to false
  • then restart the browser once...
