I have been using Chrome which provides excellent assistance to sight to sight impaired users. Is there a way to configure Firefox to do the same?

hi Hartlessone, sure firefox is very customizable - for some information on the subject, particularly for sight-impaired users, you could refer to https://www.accessfirefox.org ...

This is probably a good site to be aware of http://www.accessfirefox.org/Firefox_Accessibility_Extensions.php It is a semi-official Mozilla community run site. IIRC the site and many of its add-ons were caught out by Australis. That is probably one site we should reach out to in advance if for instance making anything less distinct smaller, or lower contrast.

Thank you Guys for your help, but the one thing that I need isn't there. The Chrome App provides a high contrast which is the key to improved readability. Perhaps I missed that App.

ok thanks for clarifying. still not exactly sure what you're looking for... if you generally set your windows operating system to a high contrast mode, firefox will follow that setting for website rendering: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/accessibility-features-firefox-make-firefox-and-we#w_using-a-high-contrast-theme

if it's more about removing clutter from articles and adjusting text size, then maybe an addon like https://www.readability.com/addons is a good choice

if it's about inverting colors maybe see https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/simple-night-mode/ as well

Hi   ! Would you take a look at the article   'Accessibility features in Firefox - make Firefox and web content work for all users'; in particular this section:
