Why is Firefox showing this (Deceptive Site!) on a web page that I load on my pc.
I've been using this website for over 3 yrs now without any problems. Now Firefox wants to put up a " Deceptive Site!" Warning. This is not the first time Firefox has decided to play antivirus security program. I have a security program that works quite well and if the site is deceptive my security program will tell me this and on this site it does not send me a warning. If Firefox wants to make an anti security program so be it, but I do not need Firefox telling me which sites are deceptive and which ones are not. So, please do not try to over ride my program or decide what you think is deceptive or not.
Thank you Jack Wald
PS I can always change browsers if need be.

Hi Jack,Maybe you mistyped the address or the page has changed. Whatever happened it is a Firefox feature that is on by default but is easily turned off.
If you wish to say what the site is and give the web address of the site we may get a better idea of what the problem is.
Note also if this is warning it is a deceptive site that is not necessarily a feature your Anti Virus software has. AV detects viruses and usually other malware. A deceptive site is one that somehow misrepresents itself or misleads visitors.
For further details, including how to turn off this feature, please see
