I want to accept cookies from some websites. If I do so via preferences the pages are saved, but not kept after closing my MAC. Solution svp?
I choose preferences/privacy/accept cookies from websites. Then I introduce the websites which I allow to accept cookies, allow them and save the changes. Now I see in a next session of Mozilla Firefox, after having switched off my iMAC, that he websites are no longer present in the list of accepted sites. What do I have to do to keep the websites in the list of allowed sites permanently?

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.
- do not clear the Cookies
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-browsing-search-download-history-firefox
- clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
- clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep
