Firefox delay when scrolling
Just upgraded to quantum although this problem has been there for a while. I have tried just about everything. Firstly, there is a delay while loading sites that is certainly not there for Chrome. Then when scrolling, the response is delayed for a second or more again unlike Chrome. Can someone please help?
Thank You

hi ratwar, thanks for reporting this. could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum (or if it's to long through a site like https://pastebin.mozilla.org/ and provide the link here)?
this might give us a clue what is going on. thank you!
Hello, WIn 10 Pro, 32GB RAM, I7 processor Kaspersky Total Security all set to protect except Banner (Advert blocker = off)
I have this long delay about 2-3 seconds with scrolling and 4-5 seconds with typing text.This effect comes in bursts.
I have started in safe mode - no improvement and also un-installed and re-installed Firefox ignoreing old data and I still get this delay.
I download Opera as for a comparison test and these was no delay at all. (not using Operas VPN). I have persomed 2 Full scans, one with kaspersky and one with the MS Malware programme.
Here is the require data: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/9074748
I hope you cann assist and hope it not a virus problem.
thanks for reporting this. please see if this change can workaround the performance problem?: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.
@phillllipp
SLow even if I disable Kaspersky.
Yes, that did improve the scrolling speed.
So now I need to find out what service it is that is causing the delays.
Can you advise me further?
it would be some external software on your system hooking into the browser somehow. unfortunately the about:support info didn't say what exactly it is. realplayer would be one piece of software that we know to cause these issues...
