How and how often should information be deleted in API Storage?

I apparently have over 85 MB of site info stored on my computer. Should I delete all this info? Is it something I need for my computer to operate correctly? Just why do I need these web sites to store info on my computer?

Yes, some page stores huge amount of data. There's no general answer, when to delete those data, it depends of you.
