All websites' security certificates, including mozilla's, are refused
The security certs apparently have activation dates in the future rather than current ones. Error code SEC_ERROR_OCSP_FUTURE_RESPONSE Afraid I'm running Windows XP...Please help!

First thing to check is making sure your system date/time is correct on your WinXP OS.

Will not connect
There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

Thanks very much for your help. Yes it was the clock, somehow it had got turned back exactly one month, which I didn't notice at first, as the day and time were right...I'm wondering if it was a virus. Thanks again
