No bookmarks or history effective Jan 16, 2018?

I'm getting the error message that the bookmarks & history cannot be accessed - but there is no new security on my computer. I uninstalled everything from the past several days - this only happened after noon today - it was fine this morning - I downloaded nothing today. I am using Avast and whatever comes in Windows 10 - but again, they didn't update today.

What happened to my bookmarks & history - I cannot even make new bookmarks.

I just kept using the support pages - finally had to make a new profile and everything is working again.

Takes time to reset everything :(

I can't figure how to redo my start page but it will happen eventually.
