the SEND option does not come up
i LOST THE ABILITY TO SEND ALL EMAILS WHETHER IT IS A REPLY OR A NEW MESSAGE, THE "SEND" ICON IS NOT ON THE SCREEN.

Open a Write window If your Menu Bar with File-Edit-View is missing also press the alt key to make it appear. From the Menu Bar select View-Toolbars and turn the missing toolbars back on. Send is on the Composition Toolbar.

I did get my send to come up on my menu bar, but I get an error message that says "The outgoing server SMTP is unknown. Verify that your outgoing server settings are correct." How do I find the correct settings for the outgoing server?
You contact your email provider. It is their servers. They configure them.
