Popup on New York Times site asks me to stay on page, and Mozilla support solution not helping.
When on the New York Times website I keep getting this pop-up message: "This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved." I tried the solution that is on the Mozilla help page, but it doesn't seem to be working. The fix seems to be missing a couple of steps. I tried several ways to modify the fix, but the pop-up still comes back. It only seems to be happening on the NYTimes site, and it's only happened since the newest Firefox update. Help!

Hello Gwenj,
Unless this is what you've already tried; would you please do this :
Type in the address bar about:config and press Enter (promise to be careful, if asked)
Type in the search bar and look for the preference :
dom.disable_beforeunload
and set its value to true
Then close and restart Firefox.
Looks that this is a recent change on the nytimes website since there has been another report.
- [/questions/1241384] When on www.nytimes.com, Firefox pop-up stating "This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved." appears.
Does changing this in about:config effect all websites, or just NY Times'?

That will effect all websites .....
If that's not what you want : maybe you could contact NY Times ?
