After change password on my Google Account with 2 step verification Thunderbird has a problem with sending messages.

It is weird because it receives emails from account via IMAP. It always ask me about password and even I provide my password than it cannot send it. I can choose only save password on password manager or not.

System: Linux Mint 19 Linux domowy 4.15.0-39-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 23 15:48:01 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I use thunderbird 60.2.1 64bits.

For more information please use my email.

Bset regards. Draqun

I have no idea what 'configuration special option' you're talking about.

In Account Settings select the outgoing server belonging to account15. Click Edit. Change the 'Authentication method' to 'OAuth2'. Should be pretty simple.

In case it isn't obvious, this is a web forum.

https://pastebin.com/PNvL06fT - I put information to pastebin. Some parts are translated to Polish (bleh!) but I think it isn't problem.

account15: INCOMING: account15, , (imap) imap.gmail.com:993, SSL, OAuth2 OUTGOING: , smtp.gmail.com:465, SSL, passwordCleartext, true

Set the 'Authentication method' to 'OAuth2' also for the outgoing server.

account10: INCOMING: account10, , (imap) imap.gmail.com:993, SSL, passwordCleartext OUTGOING: , smtp.gmail.com:465, SSL, passwordCleartext, true

Set the 'Authentication method' to 'OAuth2' for both, the incoming, and the outgoing server.

Please look at attached image. I have OAuth2 set to this account.

Problem exists only for account15

account15: INCOMING: account15, , (imap) imap.gmail.com:993, SSL, OAuth2 OUTGOING: , smtp.gmail.com:465, SSL, passwordCleartext, true

Account10 works well, and there is no need changing anything.

So My account have Authentication metod OAuth2 and it still does not work well.

I should edit some config file and do it manually?

Your screenshot is for the incoming server. You'll need to adjust the Outgoing Server (SMTP) for account15.

But there is no in configuration special option for outgoing server.

OK I found it.

https://products.secureserver.net/email/screens/thunderbird8.gif <- last element in panel on the left.

This is not intuitive place for configuration but it's only my worthless opinion.

Thank you very much and God bless you, good man.
