I'm not seeing emails received, but if I search my email, the emails are shown.

My sister has just started using her gmail.com address. They don't show up in my Inbox or my Junk folders. But, if I search for the emails, they show up. The search does not show which folder the messages are in.

What search method are you using? Try this: Select the mail account name in Folder Pane Menu icon(3 lines) > 'Find' > 'Search Messages' 'From' > 'contains' > enter email address click on 'Search' There should be a 'location' column header naming the folder. In the search results: Double click on a line which mentions the email and it will open in a new tab.
