Hi. I've read that Google didn't previously support OAuth2 when accessing Google POP servers. However, Google now says that functionality is available. Specifically they say "For non-Gmail clients, Gmail supports the standard IMAP, POP, and SMTP protocols. The Gmail IMAP, POP, and SMTP servers have been extended to support authorization via the industry-standard OAuth 2.0 protocol." That information is copied from this page: https://developers.google.com/gmail/imap/imap-smtp When I try to configure Thunderbird to access a Google POP server, I don't see an option for OAuth2 authentication. Is this perhaps a recent Google change that hasn't been incorporated into Thunderbird yet or has Thunderbird decided they don't want to add this functionality? If it is a recent Google change, is Thunderbird planning to implement that new functionality? Thanks in advance for the informaiton :)
