Disabled spell checker but still getting red squiggly lines as I type in google search

I am sorry to say that "the spell checker you are mentioning is Google's own spell checker - it has nothing to do with Firefox and Firefox has no authority over that spell checker of Google."

You can try different methods such as use custom script or edit the css style. See if that leads you to something.
