How can I copy just one mail folder to a new machine

I have thunderbird installed on a main PC and on a laptop. On the PC I have an account "Tony" and under that are several mail folders, including one named "Holiday"

On the laptop is an account "Tony", but no "Holiday" folder. I want to copy the "Holiday" folder from the PC to the Laptop, but I don't want to copy anything else.

Is this possible?

Is this an IMAP account? If it is IMAP on both computers, subscribe to the Holiday folder on the laptop. Right-click the account in the Folder Pane, Subscribe, click Refresh and subscribe to Holiday.

If it's POP, select all messages with Ctrl+A, Ctrl+S to save them as eml files, then on the laptop drag the eml files from the explorer folder and drop them onto the Holiday folder in TB.

I tried that, but the messages didn't appear in Thunderbird, even though they were in the mail folder. I guess I did something wrong.

I eventually solved it by copying the holiday.mozmsgs folder, the holiday file and the holiday.msf file onto the laptop. Then everything appeared.
