Why are my "spam" emails going into my webmail when they are not actually spam anyway!
Hoping someone can advise!! Been using Mozilla Thunderbird for a few years now but suddenly noticed that certain emails that, for some reason were considered spam, were going into my webmail instead which I never use. I only happened to notice this because a weekly newsletter I had been receiving stopped coming through. When I questioned this with the senders, they said there was no reason for it and suggested I check my webmail and there they were along with loads of other emails I should have received. They had been marked as spam so automatically sent to my webmail. I haven't done anything to change settings so wonder why this is happening. Can anyway offer any help please bearing in mind I am pretty useless with technical stuff. Many thanks in advance.

Thunderbird does not use the word Spam. It has Junk controls that when active it marks suspect messages with a Junk flame icon and leaves it in your inbox. You have the option to send suspect Junk messages to a Junk folder in Thunderbird but you have to select that option.
If you are seeing anything else, it is not Thunderbird doing it. Most email providers have spam filters and move suspect messages into a Spam folder. If you are using IMAP protocol you can subscribe to the providers Spam folder so you can check that folder. If using POP protocol your only option is going to the providers webmail page to check it.
No idea what you mean by sending it to webmail. Webmail is the web based interface to your email providers server. Thunderbird downloads messages from your providers server.
