Unable to install FF as a default browser

I can no longer install Firefox als a default browser. I get an automatic detour to the Windows Store where i can 'pick' a standard app, but the FF browser is not listed there.

There are some users that have had the Firefox option disappear from the default menu. Usually, it can be fixed simply by reinstalling Firefox. That makes the necessary changes to get Firefox added back to the menu option.

After you reinstall Firefox, if you happen to lose your Firefox data (bookmarks, etc), it's not a big deal. It can be fixed easily by the steps in the Recover user data missing after Firefox update document.
