search bar not working
When I start typing in the search bar in the middle of the page the word automatically goes up to the address bar. I have made sure the cursor is flashing in the search bar, how do i fix this?

You can set browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar = false on the about:config page to disable this feature.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".
This did not solve the problem as it is still doing it even after a restart
