I thought this problem was solved but it wasn't When I go to open Word Hippo (a thesaurus I use regularly) in Firefox it appears on the website page. but won't open from there. When i repeat the action on Chrome it opens from the website page.

HI Pooh Bear Just to be clear - you asked this on the Thunderbird support site, but in the question you said Firefox, and then said it works in Chrome. Is this issue in your email client (Thunderbird) or your Internet browser (Firefox/Chrome)? If Thunderbird, how are you opening this site - from an email link, a draft email or compose screen?

Thanks for reply. Opening from composed screen. ie In FF type Word Hippo and then open from entry on screen. It opens in Chrome but not FF

Still not clear - "i.e. in FF type Hippo" means you are starting in Firefox? Then the question should be posed to the Firefox support area, not the Thunderbird email forum? Please say step by step what you do in Thunderbird specifically.

If you have a Thunderbird add-on doing the word lookup please state what add-on - they may function differently.

In Firefox I type 'Word Hippo' and the site 'Word Hippo Thesaurus and Word Tools' comes up. I click on this site - and nothing happens. If I repeat this in Chrome, the site opens.

Then you need to ask in the Firefox support site. This site is for Thunderbird email support. Go here, choose the Firefox support section.. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions
