Thunderbird 102.2 broken; won't download gmail popmail

Since upgrading from the immediately previous version of TBird to 102.2, I can no longer dl GMail popmail. TBird does not even attempt to download. It also doesn't attempt to download from another account when I tell it to manually download. It downloads on auto from that 2nd account, but not manually and not from GMail at all.

Solution: Old GMail account must be deleted and readded.

I had to do nothing. However I also do not have a third party anti virus program which have a long history of messing up mail post update.
