Firefox isn't Windows 10 O/S system so not sure what your referring to here. If you want different search engine you need to setup the search engine defaults.

Firefox by default uses standard installed search engine there is no firefox search engine.

On the Search page of Settings > Default Search Engine : change to DDG. If you don't have DDG, add it.
