sort emails by date
Is there a way to have all emails sorted by date? Most emails in the inbox and sent are in date order, but there are several that are out of sequence, e.g., several emails listed for today, Sept 16 in chronological order, but an email for Sept 15 is mixed in with them. The Sept 15 email starts on Sept 15 and has a few messages with the same subject concluding with one today, Sept 16. Would like to have that sorted as Sept 16, not Sept 15. Thx for any help you can provide.

It sounds like you've got the execrable threading switched on.
Press Alt-V and on the drop-down menu that appears click 'Sort by' and then 'Unthreaded,' which is next to the bottom.
