recover lost bookmarks
When my Mac got an automatic system upgrade to 15.1.1 I lost everything. I was able to recover all my files but I lost the foxfire bookmarks and bookmark bar. How can I recover them?

Hi, sorry to hear about this problem. If you check the Bookmarks Sidebar (Command+B) can you see any of your bookmarks listed there in any of the categories (Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, Other Bookmarks)?
For the horizontal Bookmarks Toolbar, check the steps in the following article to show the bar: Bookmarks Toolbar - Display your favorite websites at the top of the Firefox window.
If that bar is blank or has a message about adding bookmarks to it, the "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" control might have been moved to another bar or removed from all the toolbars. Check the Customize panel to see whether you can locate it there, or use the "Restore Defaults" button at the bottom if it's completely AWOL: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
Any luck so far?
No luck so far. Everything is gone. This happened when there was an automatic system upgrade to 15.1.1 on my Mac. I lost everything on my desktop and in other applications. I was able to reconstruct desktop from iCloud back up, but Foxfire is not backed up There. Is there possible back up somewhere else?
Is it possible to uninstall Foxfire and then reinstall with hope of getting past information regarding bookmarks?
As a Windows person, I have limited knowledge of MacOS updates and Time Machine backups.
Did you need to reinstall Firefox after the update? Just to make sure you aren't using a temporary profile, please re-check the steps here:
