Its works in Windows 7, but why your not seeing it.. did you click on the persona and while using the default theme?
Try that, otherwise try a new profile on the windows 7 machine: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles?s=profiles&as=s
The persona is working fine. I can download themes and can go to addons--->Themes and select different themes for the persona. But it is the rollover feature that is not working. I go to the persona homepage and rollover helps in selecting a particular theme, but it is not working in Win 7 but other machine on which i have Win XP professional it works just fine
Windows 7 Pro x64 with Firefox 3.6.4 here and not getting the roll over feature either. It worked before, but since the upgrade a few minutes ago it doesn't
Previewing personas only works on sites that are whitelisted via an allow exception. Tools > Options > Security : "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons": Exceptions Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the 'Site Preferences'. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Themes#Lightweight_theme ..... These prefs get set to an 'empty string' once the sites have been added to the whitelist, if the pref is not empty, if you open the exception window. Tools > Options > Security : "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons": Exceptions xpinstall.whitelist.add - addons.mozilla.org xpinstall.whitelist.add.36 - getpersonas.com
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Same problem with Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.6.
Rollover does not work on www.getpersonas.com, so its not just a problem with a site being non-whitelisted.
Does the getpersonas.com site show in Tools > Options > Security : "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons": Exceptions ?
Also make sure that you do not block JavaScript settings and preferences for interactive web pages
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
no fix for this problem yet? noticed I also have this problem used to work before but no longer does not exactly sure when it stopped working
I also have recently run into the exact same problem. I can distinctly remember the rollover feature working in the past. Recently however it doesn't cooperate. I can download and activate personas without issue, but the rollover has mysteriously vanished.
As posted above ~91~*~93~: ^Previewing a persona only works on sites that are whitelisted via an allow exception. Tools > Options > Security : "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons": Exceptions ^Also make sure that you do not block JavaScript Menu differences: Windows: Tools > Options - Mac: Firefox > Preferences - Linux: Edit > Preferences --- You can reset these prefs on the page to restore the default software exceptions for inastalling extension and personas. xpinstall.whitelist.add (addons.mozilla.org) xpinstall.whitelist.add.36 (getpersonas.com)
If these prefs do not exist or are an empty string if you open the exception window then the corresponding default entry is recreated. Tools > Options > Security : "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons": Exceptions
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Adding the exceptions fixes the problem and rollover works
