Why does an entry being typed in address bar move to the search bar unexpectedly?

I type an address in the address bar, and mid way through typing, the cursor moves to the search bar.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Do you mean the search bar on the Firefox Google web page or the search bar on the Navigation Toolbar?

The "address space" where you can type in web addresses. The "search space" where you can type in search words, such as with Yahoo. I realize that this may be a problem with Yahoo and Firefox. I always use Yahoo. So the address space is Yahoo space and the search space is Yahoo search space.
