I am using 3.6.8 and whenever the password manager comes up asking if I want to remember , never for this site, or not now, clicking on the remember button does nothing - no action takes place at all. All of the other buttons seem to work fine, but I can't remember any passwords. Has anybody else seen this problem occur?

Checked this out already.

The problem is that the 'toolbar' pops up. Click remember - nothing happens - click any of the other 2 options - choice accepted. Why can't I click remember.

I am not private browsing.

Even when logging into my account here, I am asked if I want to remember my password, and if I click on remember, nothing happens.....

As suggested in the Troubleshooting section, that issue can be caused by corrupted files key3.db and signons.sqlite
You can test that by moving the two files to another location to make Firefox create new files.
You need to set a new Master password after moving key3.db

If you see passwords in the Password Manager (Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords") then you can use the Password Exporter extension to create a backup of the passwords before moving the two files.

Check that the exported (xml) file has all the names and passwords.

Firefox 5.0 - this solution just worked with Firefox 5.0 as well. Thanks!
