Can "tracking" by websites be circumvented by closing Firefox and using CCleaner after each web visit?

I want any or all "tracking" by websites to be blocked. I use CCleaner (Piriform.com) to clear data between web visits. It that sufficient?

There seems to be an uproar concerning this "marketing tool", and rightly so!!
