Password manager is not working. How can I save my passwords?

I can't save my passwords. Password manager doesn't seem to work properly. I deleted Firefox and installed it again but the problem insists. I checked the settings and everythink is OK. Tools - Settings - Security - Remember passwords is checked. But the password manager doesn't appear. What can I do?
