I would like to define define the page of new tab instead of a blank page but without having to install a new extension. (see here for your answer if it is what you are looking for https://support.mozilla.com/fr/questions/716280 ) Is it possible? Like changing something in about:config ? thanks

There is no about:config setting that controls this.

too bad... (If I am not wrong I should add "there is no MORE about:config setting") So is there a way anyway ?
