I created a tab group and lost all the other tabs. How do I get them back?

I had many tabs open. Some I made app tabs. I wanted to group some others so I created a group with a few. Other tabs were ungrouped, non app tabs. These last tabs are gone. How can I get them back. Undo close tab does not work at all.

Go to History>Recently Closed Tabs>(The tabs you want back).

This function, too, does not work. It hasn't worked since I updated firefox. Neither has undo close tab.

Well, are they at least in the history?

If not, they are gone forever... There is noway restoring them after that....

No, I don't see them in history. Any idea on why undo close tab does not work?

Well, basicly the undo command (and the tab restore command) is based on the Browsers history...

If they are no longer in the history, they are gone for ever, I'm afraid.

Tell me, did you had the same session in FF 3.6?

If yes then there are great chances for it to have your history and tabs.

If not, I cannot do anything more to help you after that....

Sorry....

most of them were there. i see they are still in session manager. for future reference, if i try the tab group again, how would i prevent this from happening?

If you group the tabs in Firefox 3.6 it will work fine (there were many updates resolving various problems for this edition).

What I do not recommend is that if you do that in Firefox 4, probably you'll have the same problem. As you can see in other posts, Firefox 4 is still very "buggy".

I recommend to stick for a couple of weeks with Firefox 3.6 until they publish any FF4 update.

ok, thanks.

I thought this had happened to me, and then I realised that if I press the Tab Group button in the top-right corner, my old tabs are all still there! Phew! This feature seems to be very unintuitive, or maybe one of my addons is messing it up.
