Instead of hitting enter to go to my desired web page I have to click on the green arrow. Why is that?

For example: If I type "yahoo.com" in the address bar at the top of my page, instead of just hitting enter I have to click on the green arrow to go to that page. Before I would only have to press enter and now it wont do anything until I click the green arrow. I tried to uninstall firefox and reinstall but it still does it.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thx.

The extension named AVG Safe Search blocked the function "go to url" with enter key. After I disabled it, it works again.
