Sometimes when I am scrolling up or down a page in Firefox, the page will stop scrolling and the page will instead start enlarging or shrinking, depending on whether I am scrolling up or down. I am not touching the keyboard when this happens and definitely did not hit the Control button first. It just randomly starts happening, usually when scrolling through a lengthy page, such as my Facebook newsfeed. This has been happening for several months. What can I do to stop it? It's really annoying!

Make sure that you do not press the Ctrl key.

You can set the mousewheel.withcontrolkey.action pref to 0 to perform a scroll.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.
