I read some where that resetting firefox "about:config" will boost up speed?
will changing these keys ;
browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs – true network.http.max-connections – 48 network.http.max-connections-per-server – 16 network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy – 8 network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server – 4 network.http.pipelining – true network.http.pipelining.maxrequests – 100 network.http.proxy.pipelining – true network.http.request.timeout – 300
Affect browser in a bad way

The values for some of those preferences are just plain wrong, far in excess of Firefox will do, while others may overload a web server with connections and might get you banned by the website. Until you know what your needs are and learn what each one of those prefs does and how they affect Firefox, you're better off leaving those prefs at their default values. The default values work best for 99.9% of Firefox users.
And you are??? What are your bona fides to be able to say with such conviction that "those preferences are just plain wrong" and are "far in excess of [what] Firefox will do"? Your profile states you are a Forums Moderator; is that like a Community Organizer?

Just leave those network.http prefs at the default and don't increase the values.
The defaults were chosen to perform as best as possible and not cause problems with websites.
If you make changes then some websites may perform better and on others you may see the opposite and the performance decays.
