firefox closes browser window after exit but runs in the back ground
After exiting from the Firefox browser - it closes. Then when I try to start it up again it says that there is an instance already open. I looked in the task manager and Firefox.exe is still running as a process but not as an application. I stop the process in Task Manager and the problem is solved. But this happens quite often suddenly after updating to Firefox 5.

Hmmm, Firefox is not shutting down completely. Check the "Hang at exit" section of this article for troubleshooting suggestions: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_hangs#Hang_at_exit
